Real Ale Ray left this review about Cross Keys
A friendly locals pub, which features some high bench seating near the entrance, commonly known as the snug. Further to the right was the main bar, which runs along the back wall on the left. The main bar and lounge area was a bit tatty, the floor boards were grey from muddy boots. This was the main charm of this pub, as it used by the local farmers and locals with their dogs. We called here late in the evening and the landlady was welcoming and engaging. Beer on the bar was Spitfire, which was a bit tired looking, just passable. There was an interesting collection of clay pipes in a glass cabinet over the bar.
