Steve C left this review about Harry's Bar

Whilst looking for somewhere to watch the Liverpool v Everton match on Wednesday evening last week I was drawn into Harry’s Bar by the exterior Sky Sports signage. The interior is long and thin with a tiled floor and the feel of a shop conversion. By the entrance on the right hand wall some DJ equipment faces a couple of tables located under the front windows. Standard keg products were available from the bar which is located midway up the right hand wall. The barman informed me that cask ale was available some time ago, but the lack of interest made it unsustainable. Opposite on the left hand wall is some seating and a log burner. At the rear is a pool table and there are so many plasma screens I initially thought that I had entered a Dixons. Out the back is a beer garden with some picnic tables and a covered decked area is available for shelter from the elements when necessary.
I was initially surprised that there were only two other customers during my visit, but I later realised that every pub in Hessle has Sky Sports. I was also surprised that the football was muted in favour of some dance tunes. To be fair the barman was very friendly and offered to turn up the sound after we had been in for 20 minutes or so, but by then we had decided to leave. This bar is not on my list of places I plan to revisit anytime soon.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Corner Bar

Smallish bar with tiled floor - more of a cafe feel despite presence of aged locals playing dominoes. One handpump, unused at time of visit. Nothing much to excite.
