A nice GBG cream rendered elongated cottage styled pub, reached by steps. There is a patio area, where an old plough hovers above the entrance and exotic trees make a mockery of our freezing winters. The interior has an open-plan room, now all the old rooms have been knocked into one. The decor is cream, wood panel and some brick, with a cream ceiling and green seats and carpet. There is a pool area at the back, with a wood floor. A few brick fireplaces are dotted about. Some prints are on the walls and fun ephemera - and there is a nice old phone too. The TV wasn't on and there was no music. The service was fine and the place crowded with locals. Beer; several real ales were on, but i could only see a couple due to it being so busy and only having time for a swift half - Abbot and a decent Tim Taylor. A really nice place and one i would have like to stay longer in - defintely worth a pop in if passing.

The Plough is a really nice looking country pub that is set just above road level.
There are seats at the front of this pub and once inside the pub has got an olde worlde feel to it.
There were three real ales on the bar we had a drink of Shipstones bitter and this wa adecent drink the other beers were McEwans 80/- and Bass.
This pub is well worth a visit.
