Bucking Fastard left this review about The Royal Oak

Late Victorian pub with a large lounge to the left of the entrance and a public bar to the right .Both areas have a high ceilings and there is an interesting alcove opposite the bar in the lounge housing a large table for six people.Pub food available most of the time and Sky Sports TV but disappointing choice of real ale.

Thuck Phat left this review about The Royal Oak

A large, redbrick Victorian pub with seperate lounge and bar areas as well as a canalside garden area. Only two real ales available were Bombardier - to be avoided in any venue - and Shepherd Neame's Spitfire. We had a pint of Spitfire and couldn't face another one, unusual for this normally consistent beer. They do food and the menu looks well priced but we didn't eat.
