This is a former Kimberley tied house, now run by the Eating Inn franchise and selling GK brews, including IPA, Old Speckled Hen, Abbot and a guest called Marmalade on Toast. As expected, the pub is a modern take on a family establishment with a dining area catering for families. Lots of high chairs were in evidence along with LCD TVs in the booths, showing kids cartoons, the pub also has a kids soft play area at the back. The main bar has a number of large LCD TVs, showing the football, with lots of varied seating from leather sofas to high stools. This is not normally the kind of pub that I would be seen dead in, but circumstances overtook me and I ended up here. The food is decent pub grub and the staff were very pleasant. The IPA was on very good form, I opted not to try the Marmalade beer, having been warned that it was very fruity. The pub was busy on a Monday night, which can't be a bad thing, I understand that it has a thriving family orientated social scene, with coffee mornings and various child friendly activities. maybe this is the future of pubs? Not for me though.

The Goose is a large modern pub that is in the middle of the Gamston estate, the pub was built by Kimberley brewery to serve this estate.
Once inside the pub has one large room that has got a lot of different drinking areas, the pub is carpeted throughout and has comfortable seating.
The pub does food all day and is very popular with diners but as a drinker i was made just as welcome.
I visited this pub when it was a Kimberley tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Kimberley Rocking Rudolph which was a very nice drink the other beers were Kimberley bitter and mild.
The pub is now more than likely run by GK with their beers on the bar.
I was happy enough having a drink in here.
