Alex Conway left this review about The Nuthall

The Nuthall is decent sized roadside pub next to the busty Nuthall Road. This is very much a dining pub and access to there is mostly reserved to passing cars. As you enter there is a very smart dining area to the left with my tables and chairs set out in a restaurant style ait nice carpets and table service by the many waiters. The bar runs alongside the left hand wall of the main room that has stone flags and a couple of leather armchairs and some high tables with stools. Then there is two room off from the main room with tables and chairs that can still be sued for dining as well as drinks whereas the armchairs and high tales in the central bar are a as listed as drinks only tables. When a pub has to specifically say so Merwe is drinks only you get that it’s pretty much all food based and to come here just for a drink is not that common. There has obviously been a lot of money spent on refurbishment in here and it is all very modem but tasteful and keeps a pub atmosphere all be it with a very Gastro feel to it. There were three hand pulls on the bar but unfortunately the most interesting of these was turned around (Black Sheep Golden Sheep) so I opted for a speckled hen over the Doombar that set be back a very expensive £3.75. The speckled hen was in pretty good shape and went down quite well but the price is a little off putting but I suppose this is to be expected when eating in what is now more restaurant than pub. We were the only people still inn at 10pm as food has stopped being served so we sat in peace and finished our drinks in the nice surroundings. because it is so out of the way I would not venture out of my way to come here for a drink again but if ever on the way to the M1 and want to stop at the roadside for a spot of lunch and a decent beer you could go far worse than here as it trumps any motorway service station that I have been to. It pricy but cheaper than many alternatives so give it a try if around and hungry.

This pub used to be called the Broxtowe Inn and it was an Home Ales tied house.
The Nuthall is a smartish pub that does a lot of food trade and this pub is handy for the tram or people coming off the M1.
I am nort sure what beers this pub now sells as i did'nt go in when this photo was taken.
