Will Larter left this review about Dixies Arms

A delightful multiroom village pub with stripped brick walls, quarry tiled floors and wood panelling. There's a small snug next to the bar, and two larger rooms with real fires. There are old lamps and signs recalling local breweries Shipstones, Home Ales and Wards (ok, not so local). The small centrally located bar has three hand pumps with Castle Rock Harvest Pale, Greene King Abbot and Theakstons Best Bitter; Old Rosie cider was also available. I went for the Theakstons, hoping to break my run of successive bad halves of this beer (I'd hate to have to drink a pint) but unfortunately yet again this was very poor, with a banana-ish flavour - should have gone for the HP.
