Upmarket two floors place with the bar to the right. One weak real ale, rest keg - and expensive. There was a hen party in the rear room - God knows what state they'd be in at the end of the day!

Not really a pub, more of a cafe with beer. We popped in for pre theatre food and sampled a pint of Navigation New Dawn Pale, which was not quite right. As the evening wore on, the place got fuller and loud, not helped by some kid killing the classics on a keyboard. Our main reason for eating here was proximity to the theatre, but the food was sort of average and we probably won't go back.

Copper is a new upmarket bar that has vastly improved this area of upper parliament street and market street along with the Three Crowns, this area now looks a lot better that it did a few years back.

Once inside the bar Faces on entry, there is a smallish square shaped room which has bench seating and tall tables and chairs, there is a room to the rear left which is down some steps, there are normal tables and chairs and bench seating, there is another room off this down more steps, there is also another room up steps the rear left,so this is now a decent sized pub set on four levels.
There were two pumps on the bar with one unclipped,i had a drink of Navigation New Dawn which went down well.
The pub was very busy on my Saturday dinner with what looked more upmarket drinkers and diners, the food looked nice but too expensive for me.
This is a pleasant enough bar the sort to take the wife or girlfriend at quieter times.

Thankfully transformed from the dreadful revival and now marketed as a café/bar with three real ales available. On my visit only one was in use and was navigations (as I think most of their ales usually are) new dawn pale ale and an eye watering £3.60. They seem to get most of their custom from wanna be big shots spending £4.50 on Perini lager.
This is not a place to seek out and really does feel more of a glorified coffee shop with a few beer pumps, far too pretentious for my liking. Their one beer was actually kept in a really good condition but I’m afraid this simply does not cut it. I cannot see myself calling in here any time soon but at least there is now another place selling real ale in the city that could possibly have its use if ever with someone who wants a coffee and you desire a beer instead. I visited in the day, if I went at night and there were more beers available and there was more pf a drinking atmosphere I might have been warmer to this place. Ok but not for me.
