Alan Winfield left this review about The Local

When i first went in this pub it was called the Windmill Inn,it is been called the Local for about five years.
This pub is situated towards the bottom end of alfreton road and it is close to the radford tower blocks.
I have been in this pub to many times to mention, once inside there were two rooms the bar was to the right and there was a smart lounge to the left.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on here both Shipstones bitter and mild were well kept drinks here.
In more recent years when the pub was renamed there were no real ales on here.
The pub still looks operational but it has been closed for over a year with no sign of anything happening to it.
