Komakino . left this review about The Half Moon

Changed hands a couple of times again, but is now community-owned having been purchased from Brakspear. The focus is now as a pub-cum-pizzeria, and although I didn't partake, some of the pizzas on the menu looked tempting. The quarry tiles as you enter remain, and little has been done internally, so the place retains its rustic feel. Friendly service from a foreign front of house lady, although my Rebellion Zebedee was a little on the steep side at £4.30 which docks a mark (Rebellion IPA was also available). I can see myself popping back in here to give their pizzas a go, and I've secretly got my fingers crossed that they succeed in this guise.

Situated in the tiny village of Cuxham, between Chalgrove and Watlington, The Half Moon has had a chequered history of late - alternating between country pub, French restaurant and closure. Happily enough it has made a return to the former and the internal décor creates a nice ambience. The only sour note was that the solitary ale - Brakspear Bitter - was on the turn.
