Yes I can confirm this indeed is a community owned pub and was bought by the locals in spring 2013 after the pub had shut four times in the intervening ten years. The local community has continued to invest and there have been several improvements since then such as improvements to the kitchen area, conversion of what was a barn into a restaurant room , and new toilets.
It does focus on food and most people who are not from the village visit for this reason and thus most of the internal space, except for the small section in front of the bar is set for dining as Quinno describes below. If visiting just for a beer then this is best done in summer, when the large garden space beyond the main dining room can be utilised.
We have utilised it a few times over the last 18 months to meet up with friends who live on the other side of Oxford because the food is reliably good, including several vegetarian options, and the beers have been well kept.
On this front there are usually four ales available with Fuller London Pride as a permanent offering then three other changing ales, which on my visits have included White Horse Village Idiot and North Cotswold Brewery Windrush Ale and Winter Solstice and they are usually kept in good condition.

The exterior shows this as a weird higgledy-piggledy collection of buildings. Interior is a modernized dog leg shape pub/restaurant, decorated in teal and mushroom shades with chunky wood tables. Selection of papers available. Signs on one of the walls about it being community owned, however the diners in the way meant I couldn’t read it (perhaps move it somewhere more communal?). GBG 2016 listed and four ales on; Pride, Vale Wychert (good), Shotover Prospect (decent) and White Horse. Wasn’t really anywhere to sit, so perched at the bar for 10 minutes. It was a fair enough stop, good luck to them.
