A former Chef & Brewer establishment, now under the auspices of a new company called Epic Inns. Gastro / country style vibes remain along with the emphasis on food. Butcombe Bitter, Bombardier 'Glorious English' and 'Fox House Ale' were the three ales available. A warren of interconnecting areas where you can dine at most if not all of them. Beams in and around the entrance-facing bar appear to be original but WhatPub reckons this incarnation only dates back to the 30s, so I'll let you make your own minds up.
