UPDATE
Good to see another goner resurrected in the Bucks / Oxon border region, this has had a bit of a standard clean-up inside, meaning scrubbed posts, beams and lintels and the odd bit of exposed brick and flint work. There's a patio area out front and the entrance brings you into an oblong room with open fireplaces either end (the one on the left has an old-fashioned grate; the slightly smaller one to the right a modern burner) with the entrance-facing bar centre-right. Down a couple of steps to the left of the bar is a narrowish dining area which leads to an extended conservatory-style bit out back and a lean-to room to the right of that. Four ales - all local - comprised Rebellion's IPA and Roasted Nuts, augmented by Loddon Hoppit and Chiltern Beechwood Bitter served from keg-style taps behind the bar. Muzak in the background was an indie-rock cavalcade, but at a reasonable level. I perched myself at a tall table made out of tractor tyres(!) Not a show-stopper by any account, but a decent enough return to form.

Re-opened at the end of 2017 after three years of closure. A slant on food, but still proclaiming to be a local with a couple of local ales on. Currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
