A beautifully situated pub as described by K below, with the addition of various perspex screens and a traffic light system asking you to wait outside if red. It was green when we visited, doubling the number of punters on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.

We sat outside enjoying the timeless surroundings. The only difference a time traveller from a century ago would observe would be the motor cars.

A pity the attractively served Hooky bitter (in of all things Estrella Damm glasses) was on the tired side.

A small free house in the twee village of Shenington (a Sycamore tree is located right outside the pub) constructed from the ubiquitous Hornton stone. Although opened up, it is in essence two rooms, with the bar facing you and small dining area snaking around to the right in an 'L'. There were two ales on - Hook Norton Hooky and Sovereign 90; the latter brewed by the former and in very good shape and some limited seating out front offered the cooling shade of the aforementioned tree offered some respite from the July sunshine.
