Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Yates

Yes, it may be a distinctive corner building with plenty of windows, but it's all downhill from there as a standard-issue chain pub with no real features of interest inside. Modern furniture and various sports TVs, but not even a drop of Doom Bar from the three handpumps. On the other hand, I suppose it's open on Monday lunchtime, unlike so many other places nearby, and you can get a keg Jaipur (albeit at £5.50).

Graham Coombs left this review about Yates

A generally ghastly circuit joint with nondescript modern furnishing, lots of TV screens and the obligatory patches of bare brickwork and ceramic tiling as decreed by the design guide. The clutch of handpumps had nothing better than a reversed Doom Bar clip - keg taps included Jaipur and a couple of Beavertowns. I was going to say it is a waste of space, but at least it keeps certain types away from the better pubs.

Alan Winfield left this review about Yates's

This branch of Yates's looks quite distinctive from the outside.
I was looking forward to starting my crawl in this pub after enjoying my visit to the Chesterfield Yates's,how different two pubs in the same chain can be.
Once inside there was a large oblong shaped room, the bar was on the left side, the room was part carpeted and wood tiled, there was a small raised area to the rear right and a DJ booth to the front, the seating was mainly normal tables and chairs.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a lot more expensive than the drink i had in Chesterfield,it was also quite a poor drink in my opinion, the other beer was GK IPA.
There is a small lounge upstairs which has its own bar,but no real ale pumps.
There was some background music playing which was quite loud for 10.15 in the morning.
Overall i was quite dissapointed with this Yates's.
