This was the third of the 3 pubs near our caravan site, and it was the only real pub in the true sense of the word. Friendly and full of folk enjoying beers and their Sunday lunches. Seating outside at the front, and also a grassy area at the back complete with swings. Car park didn't seem big enough as cars had to park along the road. Small bar with Pedigree, Banks Bitter and 2 beers from Wincle brewery. Chose Life of Riley from Wincle and it was fine. Multi roomed inside and had an old cottage feel to it. One of the rooms had an old bagatelle and a shove ha'penny board. Sign outside says dogs and muddy boots welcome in the bar. Would call here again.

Was in this pub the night 'Diana' was killed in Paris. Have been since on a few occasions. Very nice pleasent surroundings and good real ale. Basic pub fayre was the order of the day. Near Youth Hostel which has or is about to be closed. Also near a lake used for angling. Small parking area available.
