Old Boots left this review about Archee's Bar and Restaurant

A conversion of something shoplike into a bar giving an odd internal layout, to one side there's a long thin area with the dog-leg counter at the rear, a DJ stand at the front. To the other side it's a truncated seating area on two levels. Two pulls but the only beer was a Doombar admittedly well kept but a bland beer all the same. Lovers of macro keg beer are adequately catered for. Bland decor enlivened with screens showing sport and news.

Archee’s is an open plan L shaped bar with a DJ booth near the entrance and plasma screens throughout that were showing music videos during my short visit last Friday evening. There are advertisements up on the walls for Sky Sports and this bar has signed up to 3D Sky. It was very fairly busy when I walked past at 18:00 with lots of people sitting on the benches out the front, but when I popped in two hours later it was empty apart from a handful of locals standing at the bar. I’m sure that it gets busier later in the evening as there is a 1am license on Fridays and Saturdays for those that want to boogie into the early hours. The bar is supports a few standard draught products alongside Peroni and San Miguel and I was a little surprised to see a solitary hand pump that was drawing London Pride. I didn’t try it though as I went for the Guinness which was well served. Food is available from midday until 15:00 during the week and from 13:00 until 16:00 on Sundays. For the size of the bar I was surprised at how small the gent’s toilet is and the cubicle is so small that a chunk of the door has been cut out so that it can swing past the pan.

This place isn’t really my cup of tea anymore so I doubt that I’ll return if in the area again.

Not one for the real ale drinker. The likes of Becks Vier and Kronenbourg on tap, lager wise. Not terribly exciting, shows music videos.
