A basic boozer on the outskirts of town and as such is very much a locals boozer. L shaped single room, the floor is carpeted with standard seating arrangements throughout the pub. Despite the exterior proclamation of being a freehouse ,the promise is not carried through with the available beers, a duo of young's, Bitter and Special, a second duo of Fullers Pride and Southern Star plus a solo St Austell Tribute didn't inspire, that aside its a decent enough place to stop off should you have a half hour or so to kill.

Excellent pub on edge of town. Has a couple of rooms at the front, a nice conservatory-style room at the back, a pool table and a small garden, as well as some nice well-kept beers and a good welcome. Generally feels like a proper pub. Recommended.

A traditional British boozer. Had a fair selection of the ales on when I went, although a pretty mainstream choice given the exterior billing of ‘free house’ Bombardier, Pride and Harveys Best was on; my Harveys was average. The inside was classic old skool, probably has looked the same since 1981, split into three open-plan areas. A decent atmosphere pervaded and newspapers were available for those still able to focus. Startled by Maggie Thatcher glaring at me from behind the bar.

Gripe#1 - Getting to the bar was a bit of a nightmare due a scrum of locals sat in front of it.

Gripe #2 - Unfortunate error of having the TV vs jukebox, put me off. One or t’other, please.

A decent pub if nearby, but not worthy of special attention based on this stop.
