Old Blue left this review about The Swan

Generally uninspiring two-roomed pub with a central bar offering tap stuff and one ale pump which was unclipped on my visit a few evenings ago. One side was closed off for a private party, even with a curtain across the gap in the bar. The other was occupied by six boisterous young Welshmen, presumably construction workers staying above, who seemed excited at the prospect of all the ‘clunge’ next door which was being denied them.

A pint of San Miguel cost £3.90, the food menu offered pub grub at around £5-8, and B&B was advertised outside at £30/night . One redeeming feature - and a big one in my book – was a bar billiards table which looked in pristine condition. I might come back here to play on it, but am otherwise unlikely to return to this pub in its current form.

Might have been a nice boozer 30 years ago. It ain't now.

It's set over two bars (both dirty) boasting a substandard handpull. All the curtains were drawn (in the middle of the day) and a there was very expensive projector showing very crackly horse racing. Plus a broom cupboard.

We were the only customers and it was very easy to see why - a depressing place.
