Bucking Fastard left this review about The Slug & Lettuce

In a modern building right by the visitor mooring for boats cruising The Thames, outside there is a doubled level terrace proving a magnet in the hot weather. The interior is large and open plan but well designed creating several seperate seating options and with lots of neon and shiny fonts on the bar, this place will attract the young. We were probably the only over 30's,so most of the punters had only half the life experience of the crew, and many only one third.
The bar staff were playing up to the skimply dressed totty and flamboyant mixing of cocktails containing very little alcohol delayed our ordering.
The beer options were all keg, most national brands and my Meantime London Pale was desperate. The best option seemed to be a glass of wine.No real ale.My excuse for coming in here is that my craft was moored directly outside, and it was open late.It serves a purpose but not if you like traditional pubs.

Quinno _ left this review about Ha! Ha! Bar & Canteen

There isn't really much here, it’s a quite cold and clinical bar (white paint and stainless steel) in the ground floor of one of the new riverside buildings. Expensive, even by Staines’ standards. No ale however they do offer Whitstable Bay Organic Ale for £2.95 – which seems somewhat cheaper in context than their keg offerings, bizarrely.

Popular with Estate Agents and wannabe This Life trendies. If you want a nice view of the Thames on a sunny day, the Swan is over the bridge and it's nicer.
