Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Foresters Arms

Fairly basic pub on a busy main road that sits opposite an out-of-town shopping centre. Given its location, it's a miracle that this pub has not been demolished for more shops or flats.

As it was a nice sunny day, we decided to sit in the beer garden to the rear. This runs alongside the car park and is a bit on the tatty side with a rather unkempt barbecue area with a chair from indoors next to it and a children's play area at the bar, where the wood chippings have been spread over a much wider area than intended.

On the plus side, the real ale range was fairly decent. Sharp's Doom Bar is a regular beer. Guests were Ascot Drop For Glory, Shepherd Neame Spitfire & Windsor & Eton Knight of the Garter. My Drop For Glory was a fairy insipid bitter.

Service was cheerful. On my visit to the bar, I recall music playing, a handful of customers and an unused pool table.

Excellent old traditional pub serving a good range of ales, the new owners Adrian and Quenton are superb hosts and it is just what this pub needed.
Locals are very friendly and trouble causes are not welcome making it a great pub to enjoy with friends and family.
