A fantastic Georgian townhouse coverted into a pub, with a rear courtyard patio. It is a corner build of three storeys, with upper most having square 6-pane sash windows, whilst the other floors have 12-pane. The corner entrance has a neo-classical porch. Near all the windows on side frontage have been bricked-up - what a shame. The pub is in undressed brick, broken only by a string course.
The interior has a couple of rooms. The main bar room houses the serving bar in the corner. It is mainly in purple walls and ceiling, though there is some patterned cream wallpaper. It has a wood floor. There is an understated fireplace adorned by deer's head, which won't be to the taste of some. There are lots of little prints dotted about, as well as fairy lights for some reason. Eclectic furniture populates the room, with sofas next to standard tables and chairs. Downstairs there is another room, also in purple and purple patterned wallpaper, but this time a stone floor. It has leather perimeter seating and a three-piece suite from granny soupy's house. A few mirrors on the walls and there are more fairy lights to act as an electrical hazard. There is a TV, but this wasn't on and the background music was general and at a decent level. The service was fine and there was a small mixed clientele at our visit.
Beer; usual tap stuff with couple of Continental lagers. Only 2 hanpulls were on; Iikley's Mary Jane and a decent St Austell Proper Job.
Definitely worth a visit for the beer and to view the building. The interior is somewhat garish and will divide opinion. I don't really go for it, but others will i am sure, especially well-heeled aunties that dress as Goths.

This is somebody’s front room, albeit an impressive one, that has been turned into a pub by sticking a bar counter at one end, adding a few pubby chairs and tables and more fairy lights than you’d want to shake a stick at. There are six handpumps on a shelf under the main bar counter which doesn’t quite work, however they have lovely micro brewery beers on plus a couple of “craft” lager founts and some rather better continental beers and a nice selection of bottles. There’s a downstairs too with sofas and even more fairy lights. Apparently it was the home of a Georgian vinegar factory owner but there’s no vinegar here now just good ale. My only gripe is the candle powered tables, thankfully unlit on my visit

Strange place this , its a former house of a Vinegar factory manager , the main bar is something like one of those upper class gentlemens clubs all high back leather seats in black and mustard with comfortable sofas scattered around , the downstairs snug is like something out of a 1970s Joan Collins soft porn film , all leather and subdued lighting , there is also an upstairs bar that opens at busy weekends . 6 handpulls , 2 with Westons cider , i had a pint of Blue Ball which was OK . Its a bit different in here but not really to my taste
