The food was good but the service is atrocious. Arrived at 5.50, shown to table within 5 minutes, GOOD. Had two Menues dumped on the table in front of us. Ten minutes later we were asked if we wanted Drinks. I ordered a London Pride, my Wife a Lemonade. 15 minutes later I was told they were out of Pride, I opted for a Lemonade also. We sat and waited (I put on my BEST BORED LOOK) just under 15 minutes passed and our Food order was taken. We had been in the place for over half an hour and all we had to show was two glasses of Lemonade. I looked around at the other tables 50% were empty, so the place was not very busy. Some 20 minutes later the food arrived. That was the only good bit of the experience. I had to call the Manageress over and ask for the bill. Paid and left. Doubt we will go back. Sorry can't comment on the Ale as THEY HAD RUN OUT!!!

Beautifully appointed, backing onto Windsor Great Park. Pub has a lovely front garden - all weeping willows and little streams. Inside is a very large gastropub, quite dimly lit. We bagged a spot by the central fire. Two ales on and two of dullest three you can imagine in these parts – Pride and Doom Bar. The Pride was a watery mess. Populated by lots of bright young things spending their grandparent’s legacy and middle-aged professionals having affairs. One for summer beer, maybe.

Modern pub, with large restaurant area. Food very good (but may be a tad pricey..!) Always a busy hostelry, you'd be best to book in advance if you want a table at weekends or busy times. Lovely pub. Nice area. It backs on to Windsor Great Park (300 yds away) so if you want a walk in the park after a big lunch, you have that luxury nearby. The pub has a reasonable sized car park (maybe 50 cars), but there is another fee-paying car park (down the road a bit) if its full. POSH PUB with posh prices, but I like it! :o) TJ

Excellent bar/restaurant. Food modern and good. Excellent drinks selection all round. Good for a bit of star spotting too!
