Soup Dragon left this review about The Cape of Good Hope

A great traditional white rendered canalside pub, which forms a part of a range of buildings, with patio area.

The interior has two rooms. The bar is in wood and cream, with darts, Sky TV (that had the Six Nations rugby on) and had bar sttols. The lounge was in brick, with lots of canal memorabilia dotted about. The service was fine, the clientele mixed and it was busy. They had small menu - between £8-15, but we didn't eat.

Beer; tap stuff, with five real ale handpulls; Church End Two Locks, Tetley Cask bitter, Abbot Ale, Wetheroak Keystone Hops and GK IPA. The Church End was OK

A great traditional pub, a must for boaters and real ale fans.

John Horton left this review about The Cape of Good Hope

An excellent basic canalside pub serving 6 real ales - and all the other stuff, stout, snacks, Strongbow and a flavourless over hyped insipid yellow liquid. If travelling the Grand Union Canal stop off as it's worth at least several minutes of anyones time.
