A large pub with a rather rundown and uninspiring feel about it, football was on tv and a couple of knuckle draggers were playing pool on one of the two tables. Two handpumps with just Rebellion IPA available, I was a bit dubious but had a half and like Quinno three years before me,was quite suprised at the very good quality, that was about the only good thing here and gets an extra point. I'm unlikely to be back.

A massive dingy Irish(?) pub which smelt of damp and had the heating switched off. Pool table to rear, SKY Sports and a rather lovely tiled floor to the right of the main entrance. Offered Thai food but I can’t imagine anyone coming in here to eat. Rebellion IPA and Cornish Orchard cider at the bar. A couple of shocks; first was the price, just £2.50 for the Rebellion and £2.90 for the cider. Secondly was the quality of the Rebellion – probably the best of the day. Still, as a pub I disliked it enough to not think of venturing back any time soon. With a bit of investment and application, there’s potential.
