I had a little time to kill before catching the train so I decided to finally tick this one off having avoided it for many years. A small café bar. I could only see a lager tap but there were a few interesting bottles. I had a bottle of Backyard Blonde. To be honest it's not my kind of place and I won't be rushing back but it isn't too bad - in it's own way!

A small café-bar primarily serving the cinema created in the former Chubb lock works, including a tabled patio area under the atrium created over the former works yard. Seemed to have bottled beers only, but there were some good ones.

OK, i visited this place as it was on the list. It is found within the old Chubb Works - the sign as i approached said "eat, meet and relax", i walked through the door to find a sterile white cafe, with a bunch of kids drinking milk (it could be laced - a la Clockwork Orange, of course). There was one tap - some lager called Zitmeister or something, but i failed to really make note, as i walked straight out the other door. I really fail to see why this place is on PG at all. Simply a cafe with bottled beverages.

Lunchtime 31 October 2007
Situated within the Chubb Buildings, owned by the Light House Cinema, and at one time known as Light Bar, this small, busy bar has recently had an extensive and thoughtful make-over internally and tables with heated umbrellas are to be found in the vast courtyard of this ancient and interesting building. There is free WiFi access for the patrons and many other facilities including a book-swap service. This place is family-friendly and makes an ideal spot for lunch or a rendezvous for anyone visiting the cinema.
