Agree with Aqualung on this one it is an averge JWD with a disappointing cask beers range with just 5 hand pulls.

This one is a cinema conversion. Inside it's a large single room split into different areas with the bar on the far left.
There are only five hand pumps and the choice was pathetic with one unused, a cider, Doom Bore, Skye Gold and a festival beer. I went for the Skye Gold (£2.15) which was in good enough nick.
Unbelievably this place was the local CAMRA pub of the year in 2011. I wouldn't return.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Salt Cot (JD Wetherspoon)

Hosed in an imposing former cinema, fairly plain both inside and out, with the high ceiling and separate lower seating area by the main windows being about the only points to note. Limited selection from the five handpumps, with Skye Gold being the only regional beer on offer.

Currently Ayrshire & Wigtownshire CAMRA 2011 Pub of the Year. Constantly changing selection of 5 ales, ranging from JDW list to locally sourced beers (Strathaven, Arran).
