This is an old red sandstone building that as noted below is on the right side of the square as you leave Gilmour Street station and was Paisley's main Post Office which has probably been shifted to a corner shop.
Inside it's a long room raised at the far end and an upstairs area I didn't go to.
The twelve hand pumps with only one unused seemed promising until it transpired that the two festival ciders and Kelburn Jaguar had all gone. This left the Scottish JDW Trio Of Doom, Jenning's Snecklifter, Stewart's Edinburgh Festival, a house beer, Hobgoblin and Purity Mad Goose. I gave up and went for a bottle of Oakham Green Devil.
I can't say I was impressed with this one but it is a pleasant building.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Last Post (JD Wetherspoon)

Prominent position on the square, formerly the town's main post office. Large - partly split-level - rectangular bar with an upstairs gallery. Reasonable selection from nine of 12 handpumps, including TSA Big Blonde (£2.59).

Old Boots left this review about The Last Post (JD Wetherspoon)

Long, thin, old, building on two floors taken over by Wetherspoons, it forms one side of Paisley's rather dreary County Square, but it is incredibly convenient for Gilmour St station, taxis and the bus stops. However inside it is vanilla JDW, not the worst by any means, maybe in the lower third, but the usual lack of staff and those there are the normally bewildered creatures Tim loves to employ. So slow service and uncleared tables are the order of the day. Sad really because the beer quality was actually very good. Mixed batch of punters with very little low life, what few there were lurked smoking by the doors.
