The Kilmarnock JDW is a Lloyds although arguably one of the better ones. I got here just after ten on a Friday morning so ordered a Scottish breakfast while waiting for beer o' clock.
It has the Lloyds disaster area on the right as you enter with a few lights and an Idiot Booth. Further down past the bar is a glitter ball. I associate a glitter ball with the Strictly TV programme on Saturday night and reflected on whether Scottish clubbers go for an elegant Waltz or a cheeky Cha Cha Cha rather than jumping around as though they were being electrocuted.
It's much larger inside than the front entrance would suggest stretching right back to where there is another raised area and with the bar roughly in the middle.
This has a set of three hand pumps and one of six. These had two available soon, Abbot, Doom Bore and five festival ales. I went for the Shepherd Neame Hot Night At The Village which was in great nick.
I thought this was a decent Spoons and more so considering it's a Lloyds.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wheatsheaf Inn (Lloyds No1)

Large 'spoons with a generally rectangular bar at the front and several further seating areas in a more irregular arrangement further back. Fairly dark inside, with the usual furniture and decor throughout. Also has quite a few tables out in the open at the front in a terrace under the upper stories, and another (with umbrellas) by the back entrance. Not a bad selection from eight of nine handpumps, including two local beers from Jar/Jaw Brew, Skye and a decent Rabbie's Porter from Ayr Brewing (£2.29).

A 'spoons pub so the usual open plan in this case L shaped room, not a conversion from a grand old bank just a modern shop type unit. Raised areas to each side of course one side having booths with old photos of Kilmarnock. Two sets of pulls, a three and a six, standards plus Scots ales, not too bad just average but being Kilmarnock that's pretty good so it's in the GBG.

Been in a few times, meals are not upto much. You also get harassed for identification all the time.

Having visited a number of Wetherspoon/Lloyds pubs throughout the UK,this is by far, and without a shadow of a doubt,THE WORST WETHERSPOON pub in the land.If you like the smell of sweat and vomit then this is definitely for you.An absolute hole, must be seen to be believed. The most wrench inducing mens room in the land.
