A reasonable Spoons with a modern sort of interior and a fairly peaceful feel, at least it did at a lunchtime. Two sets of 5 handpumps repeated, with Ruddles, Abbot and 3 guests: Exmoor Beast, Titanic Black Ice and Bowman Wallop.

Halfway decent Spoons with the usual offerings and also Forty Niner and Snecklifter.

This is an old school JDW shop conversion consisting of a large low ceilinged room with the bar on the left and an eating area to the right.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps with the JDW Trio Of Doom but the Doom Bore turned, Exe Valley Devon Glory doubled up, Daleside Old Legover, Hafod Moel Famau, Marston's Help For Heroes, Big Bog Bog Standard and Wychwood Jester Jack. I went for the Big Bog beer (£2.15) which was in excellent condition. The reasonable beer selection made up for the rather dull interior.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sussex (JD Wetherspoon)

Downmarket 'spoons, with a generally dark interior with nothing much of interest therein. Also has some patio tables out front. OK selection from ten handpumps, including the seasonal Main Stage from Brains (£1.99).

Standard Wethers but seeing where it is it'll seem like an oasis in a sea of toss.

Basic ok JDW pub that had a good selection of cask beers on and was doing a fair trade on my Thursday lunchtime visit.Quite a few obstacles on the way to the bar with the cumbersome large staircase being the main offender.

A decent enough JDW with a good selection of guest ales and the 2 I had were in good nick. There are not many features in here as it's pretty much a square box, but it's a very good pub for Rhyl.

Located halfway between the railway station and the beach, this is Wetherspoons-by-numbers, and once inside you could be in any stadard pub by them. The beer range as well is poor compared to others in the chain. The beer quality was good though. If you like Wetherspoons, this is one for you.

Very large Wetherspoon's with several separate drinking areas. There was a good selection of real ales on tap.
