New build JDW just up from the theatre and shops.

Cleaner than the average Spoons. Friendlier staff than the average.

Beer in excellent condition (Goffs Jouster and Exmoor Gold) at £2.10 and £2.45. Can't be knocked.

Good Beer Guide 2022 entry.

The Rising Sun is a modern looking Wetherspoons that is on one of Redditch's main shopping streets.
Once inside there is an L shaped room which is carpeted, the bar faces on entry, there is a small raised area to the front left, there are tall tables and chairs on the left side and normal tables and chairs elsewhere.
There was a decent choice of guest beers on the bar,i had a drink of Goffs Spring Ale,which was a decent drink, the other beers noted were Backyard Antipodean,Prescott Chequered Flag,Purity Pure Gold and Saddlers Peaky Blinder.
This Wetherspoons was a lot busier than the Royal Enfield and i preferred this one.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Rising Sun (JD Wetherspoon)

Unremarkable 'spoons with an 'L'-shaped bar housed in quite a modern building. Mix of furniture in the different seating / dining areas - some of which are well lit, others not. Reasonable choice of ten real ales - although none very local - in a variety of styles, plus a draught cider, from the two banks of six handpumps, with the Green Jack Lurcher Stout (£2.35) being my selection.

This is a town centre JDW in what looks like a fairly modern red brick building. It's a large low ceilinged L shaped room with fairly typical fixtures and fittings. As a building it's quite dull but it makes up for that with a good selection on the 12 hand pumps. On my Tuesday lunchtime visit there was one unused, a cider, GK Abbot & IPA, Doom Bore, a second Abbot, Prescott Hill Climb & Track Record, Springfield Roaring Meg, Sadler's Peaky Blinder & Red IPA and Hobgoblin Gold. I went for the Sadler's Red IPA (£2.50, standard guest ale price is £2.35) which was first class. This is GBG 2016 listed and deservedly so. It's a good Spoons well worth a visit.
