Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cuthbert Brodrick (JD Wetherspoon)

Modern, glass-fronted 'spoons with a large mezzanine and a front patio seating area. Twelve handpumps on the bar counter, often with a few interesting beers from local breweries. On this visit, the 6.0% Acorn Gorlovka imperial stout was in excellent form (and, better still, included in the Curry Club deal, despite being in the 'super premium' price bracket).

This is a modern Spoons set on two floors, I didn't venture upstairs. It was packed on my Thursday evening visit.
The three sets of three hand pumps had the IPA version of the JDW Trio Of Doom, a Leeds Brewery beer, Moorhouse Witches Brew & White Witch, Acorn Gorlovka, Kelham Island One Step Beyond and Rudgate Valkyrie. I went for the Gorlovka (£3.15) which was in good nick but expensive. Like the Stick or Twist, this is just too expensive and I wouldn't return.

A good spot on a sunny afternoon, with lots of adequate seating out front on the patio. Six ales on two banks of three, we found a Saltaire Empress IPA, which went down a treat sitting out in the sun. As Old Boots mentions, the communal washroom downstairs is quite bizarre.

Took one look at the three queues that had been formed at the bar and walked out

A relatively civilized Wetherspoons, although we were there on a Sunday afternoon rather than a Leeds Saturday night. A new build on two floors, the main bar is downstairs with a straight counter along the back wall and the usual JDW type furnishing down the middle and edges. Upstairs is a mezzanine floor with seating at tables, there is a sort of bookcase affair halfway along but otherwise the décor is unremarkable. At the front is a patio area and the front wall is largely glass. Toilets in a basement but with strange communal washing facilities. Usual 'spoons beer line up of Abbott, Ruddles and guests on three banks of pulls interspersed with T bars of national keg brands. The beer quality and service were both very good.

Built as part of the Millennium Square development, this JDW is a large two-floor affair though it’s got an oddly shallow floor space, depth-wise. A bit of effort has been expended on the interior décor, with a very impressive collage frieze curving round the top of the bar area. The rest of it is not too dissimilar to the usual modern Spoons furnishings and touches. The gigantic plate glass frontage allows a lot of natural light to flood in and affords a good view if you pick the right table. The pub also seems to have seating rights over a large patio area outside which I imagine would make a for a very pleasant al fresco pint (it was, inevitably, raining on my August afternoon visit). Beer-wise there was plenty of choice and my Old Mill Yorkshire Porter was in excellent shape. The communal toilet wash area is either a great innovation or an awkward piece of social engineering, depending on your viewpoint. Based on my one short visit I’d cautiously recommend this one.

Modern JDW joint, built as part of the Millenium Square development and overlooking the public realm. It takes its name from a renowned local architect who designed, amongst other buildings, the city's Town Hall. It has a clean, modern interior and was a bit dark on my visit. Ales included Shepherd Neame Bishop's Finger, Leeds Best, Kelham Island 45 RPM and RCH Strawberry Line. Strawberry Line was a fruity ale 'made with real strawberries', but didn't taste too synthetic which was a bonus.

Its a Wetherspoons, so you know what you expect, so there are betters in the city centre.

Sited in a good position overlooking Millennium Square has a large seating area outside but the interior is slightly disapointing.
