One of the smaller Wetherspoons but nicely laid out. They had a few meet the brewers coming up so seemed to be interested in non standard beers.Nice beer from Twickenham was my choice. No outside area the only drawback.

Visited here for the first time on a midweek morning in July. As with most Wetherspoon's it was busy during the morning, with no other pubs open. Service was quick, however.

The ale choice was Greene King IPA & Abbot, Sharp's Doom Bar & Nethergate Augustinian & Stour Valley Gold. Real ciders were Old Rosie & Black Dragon. There's nothing like a pint of strong cider to start the day!

Typical Wetherspoon's interior, with toilets upstairs.

Given the Provincial Town nature of the High Street that this Spoons resides in it is surprisingly large.
It is on paper a Lloyds No 1, but at lunchtime was very much a standard Wetherspoons.

It's a long and narrow shop conversion with the bar in the middle and a small area at the rear where some natural light comes in. Of the twelve pumps the usual GK suspects were doubled up and there were a couple of punchy ciders on. Of the six remaining pumps there were two Rebellion beers and the Portobello American IPA plus others from the guest list. Sadly two of these were "Available Soon".

At least there was no sign of any Doombar or London Pride in here today. I went for the Portobello American IPA at £2.49 which was in fairly good nick.

A standard shop conversion 'spoons with three internal sections and as previously mentioned somewhat lacking in natural light. The frontage can fully open out on hot days, and the first section on entering is the quietest area with a community board. The middle vaulted section included a long bar along the left hand wall, while beyond this is a third area in a library style extending to exits at the rear of building.
At first sight 12 handpumps would set the ale drinkers pulse racing, yet on my visit Abbott and Ruddles Bitter were doubled up and there were no less than five "available soon" clips which all failed to materialise on my session. However my Mordue Workie Ticket was in good condition and there does seem to be a caring attitude behind the bar.
A popular watering hole ,this is a viable ale drinking venue among an uninspiring pub choice in this attractive town centre.

The low ceilings make this a bit of a dark and dreary Wetherspoons unless the sun is shining, although there is a large domed ceiling at the back which lets in a bit of light. I’ve always found a good selection of ales in here that have been in good nick.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Pennsylvanian (JD Wetherspoon)

Unexceptional Wetherspoons, with many of the usual beer offerings plus two ales from the nearby Marlow Brewery (with the Rebellion Investors Revenge proving a good choice). Could have done without the oiks smoking in the large open doorway at the front.

Fairly small by Wetherspoon standards and not a very interesting pub but at least they had a couple of local beers on that were in good order.
