Old Boots left this review about Plumbers Arms

Large U shaped pub near to the bus station. Four pulls and a big steam pipe keg fitting on each counter face. There is a fairy light obsession here extending in one corner to twigs as well. Beers from Copper Dragon, Stancil, Ossett and Bradfield of average quality. Nice and busy on a Saturday afternoon the way pubs should be. Some banquette seating with metal chairs at square tables throughout. Multiple screens and constant music.

This pub wasn't on the plan for the Huddersfield crawl I did a couple of weekends ago but we had made good time and had a bit to spare before the train home. We decided to give the Plumbers Arms a try. Inside there were eight hand pulls (four on each side of the bar) with two off (one each side). It was a bit tricky trying to see the full selection as there did not appear to be a chalk board listing everything, though the barman did try to help by bringing over a pump clip from the opposite side.

There was loud music and the pub was busy but it felt pleasant and certainly had atmosphere. No issue with my Elland porter.

Close to the bus station and not too bad to be honest. An open plan interior with an island bar and 8 handpulls. A good selection of local breweries on offer and a good variation of styles. The Fernande's Black Voodoo was very nice. The pub seems to like its live music as there were a number of adverts for bands.

An open plan pub with an island bar. All very modern looking and not particularly comfortable in my opinion. It was fairly busy at 6 on a Sunday and within 15 minutes it was packed, very strange. They had a band on stage at 6:30 which is very unusual. 4 ales available on the bar and my pint was in good nick. I really didn't take to this one at all.

Reopened earlier this year after an £80,000 refurb and I have to say I like the way the local businessman owner has spent his money. The interior is now very modern and bright and the walls and floor has been stripped back to reveal a lot of the original red brick and wooden floor whilst retaining the original beams and fireplaces.
The modern bar design supports four hand pumps on either side which are double clipped so that you can actually see what is on the other bank of four when standing on one of the sides. A decent range of largely local ales on the and I also went for the Mallinson's Doukan Duck which was well kept.
In conclusion a nice building close to the bus station that is another good addition to the Huddersfield Real ale drinking scene.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Plumbers Arms

Wasn't expecting much from this previously dingy-looking pub by the bus station until I caught a glance of the opened-out interior through the front windows as we approached. This has been newly refitted in an alehouse style, with plenty of wooden furniture and circulation space on three sides of the central servery. Eight handpumps, with a decent selection of beers including Mallinson's Doukan Duck (£1.40, half). A pleasant surprise.

I really liked this pub and would happily return here as a destination pub, along with the Sportsman. My pint of Brewsters Decadence was superb and was my beer of the week. Thanks to our Pubs Galore Crawl adding this pub to the itinerary.

Very close to the bus station, this pub has been refurbed and is now on the Huddersfield real ale map.The interior winds around an central bar ,largely open plan with quite a bit of exposed brickwork, modern wood flooring and decked out with fairy lights around the ceiling.Fireplaces have been retained with a woodburner to the right of the entrance and the furniture is quite traditional, mainly in wood.
There was a good crowd in afterwork on a Friday and it is worth walking around the bar to see what is available from the two sets of handpumps, eight in total. On my trip that meant Tetley Cask,Bradfields Farmers Blonde,Black Sheep Bitter,Elland 1872 Porter,Potbelly Trotter,Mallinsons Doukan Duck (top notch) and Brewsters Decadence (good) with a pump devoted to real cider.
I liked it and feel it should now be on any crawl list around town, handy for the bus station too.

Aqualung . left this review about The Plumbers Arms

This is the latest addition to the flourishing Real Ale scene in Huddersfield having only opened a couple of weeks ago. It's been completely refurbished with a mix of old in the form of some original wooden beams and new such as exposed brickwork and a shiny wood floor. It's a single square room with an island bar that has four hand pumps on each side. One of these was unused on my visit and the rest had Felix Ruby Bitter & Boothtown Golden, Elland 1872 & White Russian, Tetley Bitter, Mallinson's Argentinian Cascade and Bradfield Farmer's Blonde. I went for the 1872 Porter (£2.80) which was excellent and seemed remarkably cheap just 15p more than the town Spoons. My only gripe was the three TV screens that nobody really seemed to be watching.
This new kid on the block is well worth a look.
