Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Staple Hill Oak (JD Wetherspoon)

Another 'spoons-by-numbers in a converted post office. Nondescript interior with all the usual furniture and decor, with little to note other than it does have a very modest side patio towards the back. On the plus side, all but one of the ten handpumps were operational, with a few less-usual offerings including Blindmans Buff (£2.39).

Aqualung . left this review about The Staple Hill Oak (JD Wetherspoon)

This is an unremarkable and smaller JDW consisting of a single storey building that was once a post office. It's a square room with the bar on the right and typical fixtures and fittings. It was fairly busy on my Thursday afternoon visit with a noticeable Daytime Brigade contingent. There is a bank of four hand pumps that had the JDW Trio Of Doom with Doom Bore doubled. The other bank has six but two were unused and one was available soon leaving Strathaven Winter Glow, VOG Dark Matter and Bath Gem. I noticed the Black Dragon cider was only £2.49 here so went for that.
I have to say I preferred the Van Dyke Forum around a mile down the road but this wasn't too bad.
