The Packet is a Brains run local boozer with plasma screens throughout for showing BT Sport. The L shaped bar is located to the left with a separate sunken seating area with dartboard behind. More seating is found in the right-hand side of the main open plan bar area. There was a handful of shifty looking locals sat at the bar during a recent Tuesday afternoon visit at the beginning of December. Not a word was said until the jukebox randomly played a Christmas song which was met with a chorus of “FOR F*** SAKE”.
The bar supports three Brains cask ales alongside Peroni and a standard keg range. This is a cash only pub and food is not available. This pub didn’t do it for me, so I don’t plan on returning any time soon.
