Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Doctor Johnson

Yes, an estate pub, but better than most inside despite the rather unpromising facade. Quite a tidy lounge bar that features dark wood-panelling on several walls and some coloured glass, a lighter side branch and another room further back. Less obviously, there is also a separate public bar with its own entrance at the other end of the building. Some patio tables can also be found at the front for the better weather. Food is offered at certain times, with cobs available more generally, as is cask beer - in the form of Pedigree (£3.95) and Abbot - and a Lilley's cider on the third handpump. Overall, expectations exceeded.

Bit out of way from City Centre. Soup Dragon just sums it up for me. Limited choice of foods. No real ale on sale. I had swift half of rather bland John Smiths. One thing impress me is plenty of spaces for drinkers to sit down and chat. Ideal place for football fans going to Lichfield City Fotball club nearby.

A detached corner pub, with bland 60s exterior and beer patio. The interior had two rooms, though I couldn’t see into the bar, it appeared to have a couple of sports shirts on the wall. The lounge was more suited to dining and they did do food. The décor had some effort at a bit of a traditional feel, with; reddish and white walls, wood panelling, coloured glass, a brick bar area and some old pictures. There was Sky Sports News and subdued music. There was an extension, white walled, with darts and more tables. The service was very friendly and the smallish clientele mature. Beer; tap stuff, no MILD, with Pedigree on handpull, which was OK. Ok for a quick pint. I would go back, its just a little out of the way
