This building has previously been offices, a hotel and a night club. It's now a Spoons across two floors, although I didn't go upstairs. The downstairs area is a split level T shaped room with the bar up some steps to the left. The ground floor area is quite small for a Spoons, I was here before midday on a Friday so it wasn't that busy.
The downstairs bar has just seven hand pumps which had two ciders, the IPA version of the JDW Trio Of Doom, Old Hooky and Dartmoor Jail Ale. I went for the Old Hooky which was darker and sweeter than I recalled from the past so wondered if I was given the wrong drink. Although this one is GBG 2018 listed I wasn't too impressed but the breakfast was fine.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hain Line (JD Wetherspoon)

Much modernised, both inside and out, but the building (and name) originate from a local shipping company once based here. Initially appears smaller than expected, but there is also a larger upstairs bar (with its own limited-range counter, although this is not always open). Mostly light furniture and decor. Only five of seven handpumps on the main bar were in use when I visited, although none of these were usual suspects. However, none of the real ales were local either, but the Butcombe Union was remarkably priced at just £1.69.

Small mediocre JDW pub on two levels sited on the winding road down to the harbour. On my visit they had 7 cask beers on downstairs and a disappointing 2 on the upper level.Anyone with a dicky tummy would perhaps think of giving this one a miss at busy times, with the Gents toilets only having one trap and one stand up position, with the Ladies slightly more spacious with 3 cubicles(Apparently). These must surely be the smallest toilets in the Wetherspoons chain.

Visited this new JDW bar on Tuesday, and it is not one of their large establishments. Downstairs there is an area on the front with a few tables and a couple of stairs go up to the bar area. There is a platform lift for disabled up to the higher level. There are not a lot of tables on the higher level, but there is a large room with anaother bar upstairs. Still has a new smell to it from the wood used for the bar I suppose. Prompt service and decent beer. It is just down the hill from the bus station.
