Old Boots left this review about Masons Arms

A pub in the country but not a country pub, it lies just off the A59 York road near junction 47 of the A1M. A brick built house that has been extended into a sizeable pub, its probably got the biggest pub car park I have ever seen. There are two rooms, a large dining room with bar counter and a smaller lounge with some public bar touches, for example a dart board and small TV. Modern domestic style décor in the smaller room, nondescript modern in the other, the atmosphere is that of a small hotel or holiday centre bar. John Smiths Cask on the single lounge bar handpump and also on one of the three in the dining room, otherwise the usual pub fare of kegs from Tadcaster etc.
