Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Beefeater Longford House

The imposing Longford House certainly looks more impressive than the very indifferent Beefeater that lies within... Little character remains in the various seating and dining areas, so the limited number of outdoor tables may appeal if the weather permits. Three handpumps, but the Doom Bar is a thing of the past ("doesn't sell" apparently), so a quick half of Tetley's Smooth (£1.88) it had to be before I moved on.

Steve C left this review about Longford House

Found myself in here by default on a Saturday evening last month because I was staying at the adjacent Premier Inn. To the left of the pub are a couple of dining areas that were full and to the right is an L-shaped bar that was almost empty. The TV in the bar was showing muted tennis and there was no background music. Available from the bar was a standard keg range and two of the three hand pumps were unused leaving Sharp’s Doom Bar as the lone cask option.
I found the service in the bar to be lackluster and they shut early without ringing a bell or letting anyone know they were shutting, even though 20 minutes earlier I had asked them to let me know when last orders were due. The food in the restaurant was overpriced and low quality. Thankfully the Premier Inn breakfast on Sunday morning was actually very good.
If I stay at the Premier Inn again I will make the effort to eat and drink elsewhere.

Soup Dragon left this review about Longford House

a large detached Gerogian, mainly brick built hotel, pub and Beefeater restaurant, with patio. There is a touch of the Jacobean and a neo-classic porch.

The interior has a function room, food area and bar, which to be honest, is still mainly food orientated. The service was functional the clientele mixed, from families to miserable individuals such as me. The decor was the general plain walls, of mixed coloures; so plum, black (it seemed), dark red, a greeny browny colour (sorry, i don't work for Dulux). There was a moulded ceiling and comfy chairs, so there was a touch of the historic feel of the house hidden in the modern decor. The picture were mainly arty things. The music mixed and at an ok level.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's Bitter on handpull, which was very good.

One of those places that i simply wouldn't go to unless i was eating - the modern interior isn't to my taste, so i probably wouldn't bother
