Alan Winfield left this review about The Twitchel Inn

The Twitchel Inn is a smallish Wetherspoons on a side street in the middle of Long Eaton.
Once iside here the family dining area is at the front of the pub on the right, the bar is on the left and the guest beers are towards the end of the bar there are usually five guest beers on here plus the usuall beers that spoons have on.
There is also a slight raised area facing the bar and this is where the regulars like to drink.
I had a drink of Shardlow Reverand James and this was a very nice drink.
This is a fairly decent spoons and it is in the 2011 GBG.

Update: revisted the Twitchel Inn today.

Nothing has changed in this ex Spoons, decor still the same and really does need a do up,toilets are still a mess.
All pumps are still on the bar and some had the usual Spoons waiting to condition sign on them,i had a drink of Shepherd Neame Spitfire which went down well after a hard graft in my factory job, other beers noted were GK IPA,Doom Bar,Thwaites Lancaster Bomber, there were a couple more that i failed to note.
The pub still does cheap drinks and food Sptfire cost £2.30 a pint, food is similar to the old Spoons prices.
This pub is desperate for a refurbishment, but it was fairly busy on my Thursday afternoon visit.

One of the better Spoons, this small backstreet warehouse conversion is carpeted and dark enough to be cosy without being dismal. The usual fare is on offer, the regulars' area is civilised and the staff unusually efficient, professional and friendly. A fairly unmemorable range of beers was on offer, but the three we tried were well kept. Worth dropping in if you happen to be in the pedestrianised bit of Long Eaton.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Twitchel Inn (JD Wetherspoon)

Quite a modest 'spoons in a side-street location. The usual selection of seating areas, with light furniture and decor but subdued lighting. Ten of 12 handpumps in operation, with a reasonable selection including Stone San Diego Session IPA.
