This is situated a short way down a turning off Gosforth High Street. Inside the whole area seems to be wrapped around the central courtyard with the bar area further back to the left. It certainly gets brownie points for the ground floor toilets.
It was fairly busy on my early Thursday afternoon visit, mostly with people eating.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps with I thought a slightly disappointing choice for a GBG listed Spoons. The JDW Trio of Doom had the GK beers doubled up and a cider left just Allendale Wolf, Marston Revisionist India Pale Ale, Caledonian Ithaca Nut Brown and Hambleton Nightmare Porter. I went for the Allendale Wolf (£2.60) which was in good nick but expensive for a JDW up here. The standard guest ale price is £2.45 making it the most expensive Spoons visited in Tyne & Wear but despite all that it's still a decent one.

Today i went out with my family and had a lovely meal, the meal was lovely and so were staff... then the dessert came and it was totally unacceptable. I ordered a caramel cheescake and the portion was extremely small, the cheescake was lovely but I would have liked a bigger portion.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Job Bulman (JD Wetherspoon)

Typical Post Office architecture, with an operational telephone exchange in the attached buildings to the rear. Quite dark inside the 'L'-shaped bar, except for the two small side seating areas at each end of an enclosed patio courtyard towards the back. 10 handpumps on the bar counter, with a reasonable range of local beers and guests from further afield (e.g. Cairngorm Black Gold stout, £2.30).

One of the best run Spoons I've ever been in. Serves eight ales on handpump, I went for the High House Farm 5th Anniversary ale, which was brill. The interior has lots of teak panelling and the walls are red and chocolate. It was good to see a few people drinking Newcastle Brown Ale. Toilets were very handy as they are on the ground floor. Also has an enclosed sun terrace.

Typical Wetherspoons hospitality including guest ales, periodic promotional beer fests and standard but edible food. Pretty lively at most times. Let down if anything by lack of staff but cheap prices. Outdoor covered beer garden / smoking area. No dogs. Family seating area for kids.
