Visited yesterday lunchtime to find 8 cask ales across two banks of pumps (the usual trio plus five guests). Three by Black Storm - Best Bitter, Tropical Storm and I think the other was a black IPA. Sambrook's Junction and one other that I don't recall also available. Guest ales were £1.99 a pint.

There was a strange queue system in operation at one end of the bar, but not really enough space to support the queue. Queues are for post offices and supermarket checkouts, not for pubs.

Not a bad Spoons but I felt it was looking a bit tired and dated inside. There is a pole and pretend fireman in a glass cabinet but no other fire station memorabilia. Toilets are upstairs, as is fairly standard.

I'd probably go again.

Very poor Wetherspoon's with only Doom Bar, Spitfire and the usual GK crap on. Not one North East beer in sight. Very disappointing

Despite the former use of this building this is a typical low ceilinged room with the usual fixtures and fittings. The entrance is on the left from the main road via a side patio.
There are two sets of five hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom and the GK beers doubled up, Maxim Maximus doubled up, Cumberland Corby Fox, Mad Fox Defender and Houston Tartan Terror. I went for the Mad Fox Defender which wasn't clear and not that good.
Overall I thought this was a below par Spoons.

Average in size, one room Spoons, which I found quite dark and featureless. Five ales on offer, I went for the Mordue Summer Tyne and one from Daleside.
