Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Zachariah Pearson (JD Wetherspoon)

Basic shop-conversion 'spoons, with no distinguishing features apart from the bar staff who seamed reasonably on the ball. Fortunately, there was also a reasonable selection of real ales from the ten handpumps, including the seasonal Tom Wood's Stout (£1.69) which went well with my late meal at the end of a very busy but interesting day walking around the city and its hostelries.

Quite a small JDW, although it has been extended at the front to provide a conservatory area. There are also some tables at the front giving you a great view (and smell) of the never ending flow of traffic on the very busy Beverley Road. The pub is named after a former mayor of Hull who donated his land to create Pearson Park which is close by. Nothing much in the way of features inside as it's just a rectangular box really. Quite busy even on a Thursday lunchtime just after 12. Several guest ales alongside the usual suspects and my pint was in very good nick. We'll call in again next time we're up this end of town.

A newish Wetherspoons on a busy part of beverley road, this pub goes back a long way typical Wetherspoons decor it has a good choice of real ales and is cheapish.
