The Admiral on the Humber is probably one of the blandest Wetherspoon’s I’ve visited in a while, both outside and inside. Outside it is housed in a very uninspiring 60’s concrete office block with a few outside tables to indicate its presence. And then inside is one large open plan space full of light coloured tables and chairs that I would say has about as much charisma as an office canteen apart from the fact that I have been in several office canteens that have more character than the inside of this spoons..
But fortunately there are a couple of saving graces that lift a visit to the Admiral and those are a decent real ale selection and efficient and friendly service levels. Available beers for our visit included Caledonian Vienna Red, Old Mill Brewery Red Goose, Timothy Taylors Boltmaker, Titanic Plum Porter and a very decent hoppy Thunder Road Pacific brewed by Adnams.
Its not one I would choose to linger long in but as its close to Hull train station its fit for purpose for somewhere to meet before moving on to some of Hull’s better pub options.

A quite bland open plan interior. Usual spoons deals and selection. Located a short walk from the train station.

Still doing a great job, even when it's packed they serve in turn so the wait isn't too long.

This Wetherspoons has been consistently well run for two or three years now. Very varied clientele but all seem to be welcomed with a smile and good service. Not the biggest range of guest beers but always a couple on. It's OK for breakfast as well. One of the best pubs in the chain in my experience.

A fairly standard Wetherspoons. had Springhead Leveller on amongst other ales on our visit. took a while to get served with people jumping in rather than waiting their turn but most of the staff appeared to be trying to serve people in order. handy for Hull railway station.

This is a Wetherspoons pub underneath a 60s office block its quite large inside with plenty of real ales on the bar the beer quality isnt that bad for a Wetherspoons. The customers in this pub seem a lot better than some of the Wetherspoons ive been in and the service is a lot quicker than the usual Wetherspoon pub,on match dasys when Hull are at home the bar staff wear Hull tops and there are hull posters and scarves behind the bar,not a bad pub to go in if your near Hulls train station and want a drink of cheap real ale.

Large barn like 'spoons close to Paragon station. In a boxy modern building with large industrial fan units and art deco like wooden panels, very odd but very Wetherspoon's. Normal JDW type of beer range of average quality, usual mix of customers but quite a friendly bunch. The place was very busy with food orders on my Friday lunchtime visit but still got served in just over five minutes.

One of the largest Wetherspoon pubs in Hull so beer and food cheap.Having eaten there on and off for a year or so it is consistant the only off putting thing music and sport dont mix one or the other.
