This is a small Spoons on the edge of a shopping centre. Two banks of five(?) hand pulls at the bar, offering the Spoons usuals plus guests including a Snails Bank cider. The real ales available at the pumps matched those on the app. I ordered a meal and drink via the app, service was friendly when the food and drink was brought over. Toilets are on the ground floor. It's a decent enough Spoons that didn't seem to be filled with the dregs of society!

This is a smaller Spoons set on the edge of a modern shopping centre. Peterlee was a coal mining town and the pub name comes from a local seam. It's a rather dull modern building and inside is a rectangular room with the bar at the back.
There are ten hand pumps which had two available soon, two festival ales doubled plus three others and Mordue Appollo 40. I went for the Hilden Pale Oat Ale which was in good nick.
I prefer these smaller provincial Spoons to the more manic city centre ones and this seemed to be a well run one.

Sppons is the pub I always choose now for an afternoon out...always a warm relaxing atmosphere friendly bar staff good food and great crack...a cozy place to go on those horrible dark winter days...the drinks are reasonably priced and they often sell all kinds of vintage ales....within walking distance of the excellent Eden Bar
