Lovely building inside an out. A early 1900s billiard hall does resemble an air craft hanger but it is pretty inside.

Better than average spoons. Service was quick. I saw someone cleaning away the tables.

Good value, as always.

The Sedge Lynn is a relatively small Spoons that still manages to feel like an aircraft hangar. The bar counter on the rear wall supports two banks of six handpumps, I went for a decent pint of Barnsley Gold for £2.10. The service was great, but the toilets were an absolute disgrace. Little shit balls everywhere, like the rabbit king had purged. I had to wipe my feet on the way out of the pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sedge Lynn (JD Wetherspoon)

Rather impressive converted former temperance billiards hall, with a feature entrance via a small pagoda and a fair-sized rectangular space under an impressive wooden-arched roof. As a Grade II listed building, there is little that can be done to alter the main structure so the bar and kitchen look rather shoe-horned in at the far end but they have somehow managed to avoid the place feeling (or sounding) cavernous. Reasonable selection of real ales from the two banks of six handpumps, including a decent pint of Acorn Blonde (£2.49).

A fairly small Wethers that I found rather nice. Due to its size its a lot less overblown than most Wethers. The high arched ceiling gives the place a larger-than-is feeling. 12 handpumps on the bar with 11 on today. I quite liked this place despite a continuing blowing noise coming from some clock thing above the bar.

large high ceilinged Wetherspoons conversion of billiard hall, the space is almost grand-station like with curved wood beams.. The beer quality and choice is good, its just a cavernous souless place.

As already noted this place was built by the Temperance Movement, I wonder what thay would have made of the daytgime brigade contingent in here on my Satueday afternoon visit, although to be fair it did have quite a mix of people in. The unusual old building makes it a much better place than all the shop and office conversions with the high ceiling and stained glass window.
The bar has two banks of six hand pumps which had the two GK beers and two ciders then Dunscar Best Bitter, Phoenix Wobbly Bob, Moorhouse Pendle Witches Brewe, Elland Twisted Pearl, Thwaite's Wainwright, Blakemere Soul Rider, Elland GPA and Beartwon Polaar Eclipse
I had a Dunscar Best which was on offer at £1.69 a pint and although it was a boring brown beer I really enjoyed it as it had some decent bitterness. I then ordered something to eat and had the Wobbly Bob as the free drink (it should have been £2.45). Sadly it was rather cloudy but the food was above average.
I thought this was a good Spoons, well above average if it wasn't for the cloudy Wobbly Bob I would have given it 8.

A fairly small JDW in a very interesting building. Sympathetically restored as usual with a curved roof and some impressive stained glass. A small raised area to the right as you enter with the rest given over to standard JDW tables and chairs. 10 handpumps on the bar including 6 guests and 2 of the usual suspects plus two empty. I had a pint of Yeovil Glory and went to sit in the raised bit to listen to a load of amusing banter from a bunch of guys in high vis jackets who had obviously finished early on a Friday as it was about 4 p.m. It's a decent enough pub is this with some efficient staff as well.

This Grade II listed building and former billiard hall was built in 1907 by The Temperance Hall Billiard Company,to remove billiards from it's normal settings of a public house, and to further the aims of The Temperance movement.Frequented the pub around 10am on a Tuesday where i found the barstaff friendly and efficient with the pint of Everards Gallantry top drawer. There was about 8 cask beers on and 2 with a coming soon clip.
