Aqualung . left this review about The Brun Lea (Lloyds No1)

This one is a full blown Lloyds as it retains the external branding. Despite being fairly close to the town's standard JDW it had no For Sale signs. As noted below it's a modern roughly square room with the bar at the rear. There's a glass skylight above the bar that brightens it up at least during daylight hours. It was doing a good trade on my late Wednesday morning visit. There is a raised area on the immediate right that looked suspiciously like the Lloyds Disaster Area used late at weekends.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had two available soon, Ruddles, Worsthorne Collier Clog doubled, Moorhouse Pendle Witches Brew, Brightside Red & Azacca Single Hop and Kelham Island Pale Rider. I went for the Pale Rider (£2.09) which was in very good nick.
Despite being a Lloyds I thought this was a decent Spoons.

Wethers-by-numbers time. Basically a rectangular box. The bar is at the far end as you enter.

A pretty generic JDW, but nicely decorated with modern wood panelling. The clever use of partitions make it feel like a multi roomed pub rather than just one big room which is what it is really. 4 guest ales on the bar alongside the usual suspects. I had no problem with the service, in fact it was very efficient. I'm not a great fan of Partners brewery, but my pint of Partners Cascade in here was in good nick.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Brun Lea (Lloyds No1)

Dull modern bar; with a couple of slightly-raised seating areas on either side of the main doors, otherwise just a few columns to break up the space. Seven of ten handpumps in operation when I visited - the other three 'Available soon' - but there were still a few interesting beers available such as the fine Goose Island Pommie's Revenge at a remarkable £1.79.
