Old Boots left this review about Hare & Hounds

The posher of the two pubs in the village and with more emphasis on food. You enter from a porch into a well appointed hall or lobby with the bars etc to the right. Through the door is a stone fireplace and to the left a stone built counter. This area and indeed most of the rest of the pub is carpeted and traditionally furnished with a few benches but mainly tables and chairs. Beyond the fireplace the room continues left and right, with a more formal dining room to the left. The right hand side is similar to the other side of the fireplace and there are fairy lit twigs on both ceilings, when I say twigs I actually mean small trees. The rest of the décor is standard country pub with horse brasses, country style prints, maps, brassware and unexpectedly a small collection of miners lamps. There are four handpumps, two with Black Sheep Bitter and a third with Taylor's Landlord, apart from the Guinness the usual kegs fonts are tucked away almost out of sight, obviously there is wine aplenty. Although the beer was rather chilly once it reached drinkable temperature it wasn't at all bad.
