What looks like a huge pub isn't really that big once inside. A single room that is a bit shabby. The bar is located at the right side of the room with the rest of the room open and sparsely decored. No real ale, not even Guinness. An outside garden/car park is to the rear.

A massive pub, but the whole of the left hand side was totally empty on my Friday, late afternoon visit. It may be that it gets rammed at certain times, so they need the standing room, but it just looked like a mess to me. About 6 or 7 people in the pub, no real ale and no staff. It's a total dump.

The bar of the Queens Arms is located on the rear wall to the right of the entrance and it faces some raised seating by the front window. This was where a group of old boys were sitting watching horse racing on Sky Sports during my visit on Thursday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. Plasma screens are located throughout, but only the one plasma was switched on. To the left of the entrance is minimal seating and much standing room for when the stage or DJ booth on the left hand wall are in use. This is usually at the weekends when the test your strength boxing machine is popular and there is a license until 3am. Karaoke takes place every Sunday from 14:00; I’m not sure how this interacts with the football.
There are a few picnic tables on the other side of a car park at the rear and smokers huddle around the back door.
I didn’t see any food advertised and the usual draught suspects are available from the bar.

The service was friendly, but this is a place I will walk past if I find myself in the area again.

Large one roomed pub situated in the centre of Rawtenstall, which seems to be geared up for the weekend revellers, with a rather dark and dismal area to the left of the bar with very little seating and the mandatory DJ equipment strewn around, and also one of those hideous boxing punchball machines. There was 4 customers in on my visit who were sat in the small drinking area just slightly away from the bar,and no real ale on of course and the pub was not my cup of tea but i can see this place full to the rafters with the younger end on a Friday and Saturday night.

May look crap from the outside but it's what's on the inside that counts. Great... well it's just great.
